- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, salt, pepper, and paprika to the melted butter and stir until smooth.
- Gradually add milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese and bread crumbs on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or vegetables.
- Use different types of cheese for variety.
