  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Royal icing for decoration

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  8. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cookies cool before decorating with royal icing.
