A delicious and moist boiled fruit cake made with a variety of dried fruits and warm spices.
Zutaten
Skala
- 2 cups mixed dried fruits
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
Anweisungen
- Boil the dried fruits and water in a pot for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Stir in the cooled fruit mixture.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and spices.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes.

- Store in an airtight container for better flavor.
- Can be served with a light glaze.
