A flavorful butter rub for your Thanksgiving turkey.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter with rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Gently lift the skin of the turkey and spread half of the butter mixture underneath.
- Rub the remaining butter all over the turkey skin.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast according to weight, about 13 minutes per pound.
- Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the pan juices.
- Once cooked, let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
