Cajun Thanksgiving combines traditional Thanksgiving flavors with spicy Cajun flair.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 loaf of stale bread, cubed
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Rub the turkey with melted butter and Cajun seasoning.
- In a large pan, sauté onions, celery, bell peppers, and garlic until soft.
- Add the cubed bread, parsley, thyme, and sage to the pan.
- Pour in chicken broth and mix until combined.
- Stuff the turkey with the bread mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
