- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the turkey with melted butter and then coat it with the spice mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the turkey with aluminum foil.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
