- 200g all-purpose flour
- 100g golden syrup
- 50g lard or vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp alkaline water
- 250g red bean paste or lotus seed paste
- 1 egg for egg wash
- Optional: salted egg yolks, nuts, or fruit
Anweisungen
- Mix flour, golden syrup, lard, and alkaline water until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions.
- Roll each piece flat and fill with paste and optional ingredients.
- Shape into a ball and place in a mooncake mold.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.

- They can be enjoyed fresh or after a few days for better flavor.
