Delicious chocolate cinnamon rolls with a rich filling and creamy frosting.
Zutaten

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Anweisungen
- In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
- Gradually add flour and salt. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Mix cocoa powder, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread on the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for frosting. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftover rolls in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds.
- Experiment with adding nuts or chocolate chips in the filling.
