- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing it.
- Mix stuffing, chicken broth, and melted butter.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast the turkey for 3 to 4 hours, basting every hour.
- During the last hour, uncover the turkey to allow browning.
- Meanwhile, boil potatoes until tender, then mash with milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
- Steam green beans until bright and tender.
- Serve turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
- Leftover turkey can be used for sandwiches.
