A festive roasted duck recipe perfect for Christmas dinner.

- 1 whole duck (4–5 lbs)
- 2 oranges, quartered
- 4 cloves of garlic, smashed
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the duck and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Season the duck inside and out with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the duck with quartered oranges and garlic.
- Mix honey, soy sauce, and thyme; brush this mixture over the duck.
- Place the duck on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast for about 1.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Check internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Serve with roasted vegetables or a fruit sauce.
- Make sure to reserve the duck fat for cooking.
