Zutaten

  • 1 whole goose (about 1012 pounds)
  • 2 oranges, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the giblets from the goose and pat the skin dry.
  3. Season the inside of the goose with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Stuff the cavity with quartered oranges and onion.
  5. Rub the skin with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the goose on a roasting rack in a pan.
  7. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
  8. Roast for 2-2.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  9. Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  10. Let the goose rest for 20 minutes before carving.
