Traditional Christmas pudding recipe.


Zutaten

Skala
  • 200g dried mixed fruit
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 100g flour
  • 50g suet
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 150ml ale or stout
  • 1 tbsp black treacle

Anweisungen

  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the ale and treacle.
  3. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
  4. Stir in the dried fruit.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pudding basin.
  6. Cover with parchment and foil.
  7. Steam for 6 hours.
  8. Let cool and store until serving.

  • Best made a few weeks in advance.
  • Serve with brandy sauce.
