Traditional Christmas pudding recipe.
Zutaten
Skala
- 200g dried mixed fruit
- 100g brown sugar
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 100g flour
- 50g suet
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 150ml ale or stout
- 1 tbsp black treacle
Anweisungen
- Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the ale and treacle.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures.
- Stir in the dried fruit.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pudding basin.
- Cover with parchment and foil.
- Steam for 6 hours.
- Let cool and store until serving.
Notes
- Best made a few weeks in advance.
- Serve with brandy sauce.
- Can be reheated on the day of serving.
