- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red and green sprinkles for decoration
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a jelly roll pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Spread the batter onto the prepared pan.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let it cool slightly.
- Invert the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.
- Spread whipped cream over the cake.
- Roll the cake tightly using the towel.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Unroll the cake, remove the towel, and roll it again for serving.
- Decorate with sprinkles before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- For a richer flavor, add cocoa powder to the whipped cream.
