A classic creamy rice pudding that is rich and comforting.
Zutaten
Skala
- 1 cup of Arborio rice
- 4 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
Anweisungen
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat to low and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring often, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon.
- If desired, add raisins and mix well.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with additional cinnamon if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
