Delmonico potatoes are a creamy and cheesy potato dish baked to perfection.


Zutaten

  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add heavy cream, salt, and pepper to the saucepan and stir.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the cream.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
