A festive eggnog poke cake with a creamy filling and rich flavor.

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tub whipped topping
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using eggs, eggnog, and oil.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a fork.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Cool the cake completely.
- Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- This cake can be made a day in advance.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Garnish with additional nutmeg if desired.
