Zutaten

- 2 cups milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the milk until it’s warm but not boiling.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a measuring cup.
- Pour the custard into ramekins.
- Place ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the custard is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon.
- Can be made a day ahead and chilled in the refrigerator.
