Zutaten
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Salt – 1 cup
- Pepper – 2 tablespoons
- Butter – 1 cup, softened
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Onion – 1 large, chopped
- Carrots – 2, chopped
- Celery – 2 stalks, chopped
- Chicken broth – 4 cups
- Stuffing – 1 package (14 oz)
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Pumpkin pie – 1 pie
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
- Rub salt and pepper all over the turkey.
- Mix butter and garlic, then spread it under the skin of the turkey.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and add onions, carrots, and celery around it.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast for about 3 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for another hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Cook the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Serve with cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
