- 4 catfish fillets
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Anweisungen
- Rinse catfish fillets under cold water.
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne.
- Pour buttermilk into another bowl.
- Dip each fillet into buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry catfish fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.

- Serve with lemon wedges.
- Pair with coleslaw or fries.
