- 2 cups of rice
- 1 cup of black beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 4 cups of water
Anweisungen
- Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until soft.
- Stir in the thyme, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the rice and beans; mix well.
- Pour in the water; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover; simmer for 20 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork before serving.
