This recipe guides you on how to make tartlet shells from scratch.

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 2–3 tablespoons cold water
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Add egg yolk and cold water, mix until dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- Press the circles into tartlet pans.
- Poke holes in the bottom with a fork.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Make sure the butter is very cold for a flaky crust.
- You can fill the tartlet shells with your favorite fillings.
