A flavorful jerk turkey recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1/4 cup jerk seasoning
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 cup chicken broth
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix jerk seasoning, olive oil, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom.
- Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Remove the foil for the last hour to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Use the bones to make turkey broth.
- Adjust the spice level by choosing a milder or spicier jerk seasoning.
