A delicious and unique caramel spice cake.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be served with whipped cream.
