Zutaten

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  8. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks.
  11. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
