Zutaten

  • 1 pre-baked pie crust
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping

Anweisungen

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add some hot mixture to yolks to temper them.
  4. Return the yolk mixture to the saucepan. Cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Layer sliced bananas in the pie crust.
  7. Pour the custard over the bananas.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  9. Top with whipped cream before serving.
