- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Anweisungen
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create the secret sauce.
- Form the ground beef into two patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties in the skillet until browned and cooked through.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
- Spread secret sauce on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Assemble the sandwich with a patty, onions, and another slice of bread.
- Grill the sandwich in the skillet with remaining butter until golden brown on both sides.
- Slice and serve hot.
