- 1 prime rib roast (5–6 pounds)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Rub olive oil all over the prime rib.
- Mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and rosemary in a bowl.
- Coat the roast with the spice mixture.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 325°F (160°C) and cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should be 130°F (54°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
