A delicious Puerto Rican turkey recipe for Thanksgiving.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons adobo seasoning
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, adobo seasoning, oregano, cumin, orange juice, lime juice, and soy sauce.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey, inside and out.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and stuff it with onion, carrots, and celery.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional hour, basting occasionally.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Serve with traditional Puerto Rican sides.
