- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 cups applewood chips (for smoking)
Anweisungen
- Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
- Preheat the smoker to 225°F.
- Mix olive oil and spices to create a rub.
- Apply the rub evenly over the turkey.
- Soak applewood chips in water for 30 minutes.
- Place the turkey in the smoker and add wood chips.
- Smoke for 30 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
