Delicious smothered hamburger steak with savory gravy.
Zutaten
Skala
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
Anweisungen
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet; sauté until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir.
- Slowly add beef broth, stirring continuously until thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet; cover with gravy and simmer for 10 minutes.

- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
