Traditional dishes served during the Sri Lankan New Year celebration.
Zutaten
Skala
- 3 cups of rice
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 2 cups of mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas)
- 1 cup of lentils
- 1 tablespoon of curry powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Anweisungen
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- In a pot, combine rice, coconut milk, and water.
- Cook over medium heat until rice is tender.
- In another pot, boil mixed vegetables and lentils until cooked.
- Add curry powder and salt to the vegetable mixture.
- Serve rice topped with the vegetable mixture.
- Garnish with fresh coriander.

- This dish can be adjusted to include your favorite vegetables.
- Traditionally served with sweets and desserts during the New Year.
