  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until soft.
  3. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add chicken broth gradually until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the bread mixture.
  6. Tie the legs together and tuck the wing tips under the body.
  7. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  8. Roast for about 3 to 3.5 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
  9. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
  10. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
