  • 1 whole turkey (1012 lbs)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped

Anweisungen

  1. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  2. Rub the olive oil all over the turkey.
  3. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Place the onion, carrots, and celery in the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Put the turkey on top of the vegetables.
  6. Pour the chicken broth into the crockpot.
  7. Squeeze the lemon halves over the turkey and place them inside the cavity.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the turkey is cooked through.

  • Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
