A complete Thanksgiving dinner with traditional dishes.
Zutaten
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Stuffing – 1 box (12 oz)
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Mashed potatoes – 4 lbs
- Gravy – 1 jar (12 oz)
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can (14 oz)
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (9-inch)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by seasoning it with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing mix.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and brush with olive oil.
- Roast the turkey for 3-4 hours, basting every hour.
- Cook the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Make mashed potatoes by boiling and mashing them with butter.
- Heat the gravy in a saucepan.
- Serve cranberry sauce chilled.
- Slice the pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches.
