A classic southern style dressing perfect for Thanksgiving.

- 1 loaf of cornbread, crumbled
- 4 cups of white bread, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of sage
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
Anweisungen
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and celery, cooking until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the crumbled cornbread and cubed white bread.
- Stir in the sautéed onion and celery.
- Add the chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the bread mixture.
- Mix in the beaten eggs until well combined.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
