  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove giblets from the turkey cavity and pat the turkey dry.
  3. Rub the softened butter all over the turkey.
  4. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and garlic powder.
  5. Place quartered onion, carrots, and celery inside the turkey cavity.
  6. Place turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  7. Roast turkey for about 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
