A delicious and hearty Thanksgiving main dish that isn’t turkey.
Zutaten
- Beef roast – 3 pounds
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Onion – 1 large, chopped
- Carrots – 2, sliced
- Potatoes – 4, quartered
- Beef broth – 2 cups
- Red wine – 1 cup
- Thyme – 2 teaspoons, dried
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large roasting pan, place the beef roast.
- Rub minced garlic, salt, and pepper onto the roast.
- Add chopped onion, sliced carrots, and quartered potatoes around the roast.
- Pour beef broth and red wine over the roast and vegetables.
- Sprinkle dried thyme on top.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Remove foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes for a nice crust.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
