A simple and flavorful way to prepare a turkey for Thanksgiving using a Traeger grill.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 2 cups chicken broth
Anweisungen
- Preheat your Traeger grill to 225°F.
- Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary in a bowl.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Place the turkey on the grill grates and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast.
- Cook the turkey until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, about 4-6 hours.
- Baste the turkey with chicken broth every hour.
- Remove the turkey from the grill and let it rest for 30 minutes before carving.

- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Let the turkey rest to retain juices.
- For added flavor, brine the turkey overnight.
