Zutaten

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups chopped vegetables (carrots, celery, onions)
- 1 cup white wine
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Rub the turkey with softened butter, salt, pepper, sage, and thyme.
- Place chopped vegetables in the roasting pan.
- Put the turkey on top of the vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth and white wine into the pan.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.

- Ensure the turkey is fully thawed before cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (165°F).
- Save the drippings for gravy.
