A hearty venison chili perfect for game day gatherings.
Zutaten

- 2 lbs ground venison
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeño, diced (optional)
Anweisungen
- In a large pot, brown the ground venison over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the bell pepper and jalapeño, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring well.
- Mix in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- This chili can be made ahead and tastes even better the next day.
- Adjust spice levels by adding more or less jalapeño.
- Serve with cornbread or tortilla chips.
