- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fruit jam
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
- Add molasses and egg, mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Form dough into small balls and place on baking sheets.
- Press your thumb into each ball to create an indentation.
- Fill each indentation with jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
