Zutaten

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup red food coloring
  • 1 cup white frosting

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  4. Add softened butter and milk, then mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
  6. Divide the batter into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl.
  7. Pour the red batter into one pan and the white batter into the other.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans.
  10. Layer the cakes with white frosting in between and around the sides.
