  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Anweisungen

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 13×18 inch baking sheet.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in boiling water until well combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
  9. For frosting, beat butter in a bowl until creamy.
  10. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add red food coloring if desired.
  11. Spread frosting over the cooled cake.
  12. Decorate with sprinkles or heart-shaped candies.
