A rich and creamy dessert perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Zutaten

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 vanilla bean
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Anweisungen
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and split vanilla bean until just simmering.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Slowly pour the hot cream into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
- Strain the mixture to remove the vanilla bean.
- Pour the mixture into ramekins.
- Place ramekins in a baking dish and fill with hot water halfway up the sides.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set.
- Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize with a torch.
Notes
- Use fresh vanilla bean for the best flavor.
- Make sure the water bath does not splash into the ramekins.
- Allow to cool completely before refrigerating.
