Soft and sweet sugar cookies perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Zutaten
Skala
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 to 4 tablespoons buttermilk
- 1/4 cup heart-shaped sprinkles
Anweisungen
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add egg, vanilla, and almond extracts to the butter mixture.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Add buttermilk until dough is soft.
- Roll the dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Press heart-shaped sprinkles on top of each ball.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool on wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For softer cookies, do not overbake.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
